Love these cute little lanterns. Bought as part of a table centerpiece idea. They added instant impact to the table, with the candle casting lovely shadows on the walls. Bought two and they are versatile enough for use in spring/summer tablescapes, displayed on the bookshelf, coffee table...even by the bathrub while taking a luxuriating soak. Friends find them adorable and they make a great gift. They are defintely in the cottage chic category, made well enough for their purpose and the price makes then a great value.

I really like this lantern candle holder. It is nostalgic, elegant, and adds a lot of interest to the room.
The only thing I don't understand is the fact that it looks as if it needs painting. The bar has unpainted spots and the lantern is streaked as if with smoke.

For the price this item is worth getting. I did paint the cottage and the stand. They were kind of sorry but they were so pretty when I "doctored" them up. I got two lanterns and I intend to use them on my deck. However, I added some flowers to each of them and I am using them also in my house. I use them on the coffee table, end tables and on my Bible table - everywhere. I put color LED lites in them that change color. I have had a ball with them besides giving some sets to family and friends. Amazon carries such great items and gives me the opportunity to help the economy by buying, buying, buying!! (ha,ha)
