Powerful, Endearing Story About Serving GodFeb 24, 2010 There are few books about Palm Sunday or the days leading up to Easter, but I am sure glad I found this one! Our daughter is still too young to comprehend this story, but it is never too early to expose her to Jesus' love and the power of his life. This book is so endearing!
Little Colt, like many little ones, doesn't want to go to sleep. He asks his mother to tell him a story; she tells him that his great-great grandfather carried Mary with child knowing that the child she carried was special. He understood that he was destined to carry the mother Mary and the unborn King. Little Colt is in awe of this special journey that his great-great grandfather traveled and hopes one day he can meet Jesus for himself. Little Colt does not have to wait long. As in Luke 19, a colt which no one has ever ridden would be tied, awaiting his destiny. That colt would be Little Colt and he has the honor of carrying Jesus through town as people praise him and lay down their coats and palms.
Little Colt's heart is filled with joy for the priveledge of fulfilling his role as a servant of God.

Beautiful Palm Sunday StoryFeb 11, 2010 This book brings freshness to the story of Palm Sunday. It's told from the perspective of the colt that Jesus rode into Jerusalem. The rhyme and illustrations are beautiful.
Beautiful, Creative and Brings Story to LifeApr 18, 2006 What a beautiful and creative way of telling children about Palm Sunday! Although my child is still too young to fully understand this story (She's one.), I'm thrilled to have it on the shelf so that when she is ready we can read it together. I'm always on the lookout for books that communicate the Gospel in a compelling and creative way. This book does it. The illustrations are superbe too.
BeautifulMar 07, 2005 I saw this book at the bookstore and had to pick it up. My husband teaches 2nd grade religious class and I teach 7th and 8th. We are always looking for things to bring Jesus to life for our students. When i read this story it really made the beautiful story of Palm Sunday to life for young children. It is told from the point of view of the donkey that Jesus rode into town on and how privledged he felt to have the opportunity to meet and serve Jesus. The same way we should all feel when serving the Lord. The illustrations are also very beautiful and help bring the story to life. A very enjoyable and beautiful book.
