A thought-provoking book for LentJan 12, 2011

I read this book, and it is fascinating. Tom Steagald is a real wordsmith, and he digs deep into scripture and comes up with some observations I've never before read. The book follows Jesus' journey from his temptations in the wilderness all the way through his ministry and Holy Week. I believe individuals and groups that enjoy Lenten studies will enjoy this book.

Through Jesus's journeys he experienced much in the way of problems he saw needing improved upon. "Shadows Darkness and Dawn" are musings from Thomas R. Steagald as he reflects on Jesus facing his own crisis in life and his encounters with others problems and the resolutions he sought to bring himself and others. With much spirit and thought, "Shadows Darkness and Dawn" is a thoughtful and recommended read for Christians.
