The actual product looks better than the picture, is well made. I bought this necklace for my future son-in-law who is in the Army. He is very happy with it. I got the 24" chain, but he is a big guy. I probably should have gotten the 27" chain. The chain has no clasp and must be put on over the head. It is a nice piece of masculine jewelry. If you have a soldier in your life this is a perfect gift for them.
