An excellent, jewlery quality, medalAug 18, 2011

I bought this medal of St. Luke for my boyfriend as a gift prior to his big ENT board examination. I was a bit nervous about purchasing this medal online without first having an opportunity to hold or touch it myself because I wanted to know that it was of good quality and had long lasting potential - not something that felt cheap or wouldn't keep forever. This really exceeded my expectations considering it's a religious medal, not something that's sold as jewlery (but that doesn't mean one wouldn't want the same type of quality). The medal and chain are well crafted, of good weight, and have a 'brightness' to them that doesn't really show well in this photo. It comes in a black jewlery box, making it easy to gift. It's a nice symbol and reminder of who St. Luke was, for those who might ask him to pray with them as the Patron Saint of Doctors and Surgeons. I'm very happy with this purchase and would purchase from here again.
