Holy Easter | Home » » The Christ Report | | | | | | | Description: | | A story of the Holy Birth, Passion, Hidden Secrets, and Everlasting Hope By New York Times Bestselling Author James Michael Pratt Destined to become a Christmas classic and Easter perennial, The Christ Report is a magical tale told from the perspective of radio and television host Sam Robertson of CNTV's Robertson Reports, readers go on a journey of imagination; interviews and being interviewed in the year 30 AD. Or was it simple imagination? After all the name and places come from the Gospel of Luke and it all seems so real... Story Summary: A secret kept since the Holy Birth will be revealed when two men, separated by two thousand years in time, search for a meaning greater than themselves. Both suffer from broken hearts, yearn to keep the women they love, and worry about their legacy. One, Sam Robertson, the world-famous host of CNTV's The Sam Robertson Report, will soon find that only a life-saving miracle can bring him the hope his sense of self-importance cannot offer. The other man, battered by regrets as ancient as the biblical story in which he played a key role, once was an innkeeper indeed, the very one who had rejected the parents of an infant destined to become immortalized as the Son of God in countless pageants and dramas. Now it s the innkeeper s charge to convey a vital message to the world, a message that has been kept hidden for two millennia. This secret, kept even from those who understand the stories of the Holy Birth and the Passion, was not so much a secret that must not be known, but, rather, something sacred, kept hidden for so long because of mankind s self-serving stubbornness. Now, not only will Sam land the interview of a lifetime, but he ll win another chance at life and love. And Cleopas the Innkeeper will likewise gain a second opportunity to redeem his soul and clear his name as the most vilified innkeeper of all time. Their secret? It is only to be found in The Christ Report. | | | Product Details: | | | Author:

Liked itApr 08, 2008

"loves books"
I enjoyed reading this book. It was well written and truly brought to life events as they might have actually happened at the time of Christ's death and resurrection. Though the contents are dealing with things of a deeply religious nature, it is unbiased as James Michael Pratt hoped they would be.

A message of hopeOct 21, 2008
By Sondra MacArthur With negative headlines blaring all around us, this book brings a much needed message of hope. It is a lovely story of Sam, living in today's world, and Cleopas, living in the time of Jesus, finding out what really matters in life. And then once they find it, changing their lives to actually experience it. The author skillfully weaves an intriguing story around the greatest events that have taken place on this earth--the birth and death of Jesus Christ. Sam and Cleopas will lead you through time with a story that will gladden your heart!

A wonderful story!Aug 27, 2008
By Robert M. Spencer I just loved this story! I think that even if you weren't so much a "person of faith", that you would like this book and it would hopefully inspire you, the way it did me. When I first saw the title of the book, "The Christ Report", I thought it was some religious book of theological mumbo jumbo, but it was a really good story (as are all of James Michael Pratt's works that I have read) and I enjoyed being enveloped in the story-line as I read. I would highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to briefly escape reality and go on a really cool journey!

For Those Who Want Proof...and Those Who Don't Need ItJul 28, 2008

The Christ Report is a cross between Og Mandino's "The Christ Commission" and "The Greatest Salesman on Earth", and Lee Strobel's "The Case For Christ"; with the love of a man for his wife thrown in. The Christ Report is immensely readable. It's one of those stories you'll sit up late at night to finish and you'll regret closing the book when you're done because you're so caught up in the adventure.
James Michael Pratt again reinforces my faith in his ability to tell a story that will take the reader's focus off their circumstances and raise their eyes over the rim of the rut they find themselves in. Certainly, James is an expert at moral clarity, but he's also a great story teller who draws pictures of people who overcome tremendous obstacles for those they love. In an age where it's easy to give up on someone, where technology allows us to text and email someone without ever having to look them in the eye, it's good to find someone who is not shallow or content to simply let life happen to them.
The purpose of The Christ Report isn't to convince anyone of the reality of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, but to cause us to look deep inside and confront our own dependence upon someone bigger than our circumstances. It is a love story of a man's fight to get back to the wife he loves more than life itself; and a story of forgiveness and mercy. When you sit down to read this book, first clear your mind and open your heart - and it will be filled.
Interesting Idea for PerspectiveJan 02, 2012
By P. Willie This is an interesting idea for a book and since I support the moral message of this book, overall I enjoyed reading it. I would have liked more suspense and a bit more "behind the scenes" detail. While it was an interesting book (that I have since given to other friends), it "grabbed" me about 2/3 of the way in where it was hard to put down. Up to then, it was pretty easy to read 2-3 chapters a day and put the book down for the next day.
