I began to search for a pendant of Our Lady of Guadalupe after I had come across a television program detailing the symbolisms in this image of the Blessed Mother and the many scientific mysteries about it. (Google "Our Lady of Guadalupe Image/Eyes" for a number of sites detailing so many mysteries about this beautiful image). I was familiar with the image and had heard about how it came to be as a child, but with advanced scientific equipment available, so much more information is now available about it. I love jewelry and really wanted a medal of Our Lady of Guadalupe after I found out so much information (was looking for enamel for the colors) and found this perfectly beautiful necklace at a very reasonable price. You can change the chain if you wish, but it is perfect with this medal. The detail is exquisite and it looks especially lovely on blue or pink clothing. There is nothing cheap looking at all about this item. I was pleasantly surprised with the excellent quality of this piece. Of all the searches I did, I felt this surpassed many of the ones I found in terms of beauty and price range. I have been wearing it for several weeks, off and on, and the chain seems to keep it's finish very nicely. I wondered about it since it isn't gold. It does go very nicely with some Mexican and Central American gold earrings I have. It is a religious medal with a beautiful artistic quality.
