 A simple way to stay in touch with GodFeb 02, 2010
I first saw the clinging cross in Texas while on vacation last summer. I have not been able to get it out of my mind since then. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Amazon sold them for less than half of what the shop owner in Texas was asking. The clinging cross is very helpful when life gets complicated and confused. Holding it helps to focus your thoughts and prayers and helps me feel closer to God. There seems to be alot of focus in the reviews on what the cross is made of, but that should not matter. When I'm feeling really down and alone, holding that simple cross helps me feel a little more whole, not so alone and not so overwhelmed. It's a simple thing, really...but well worth it.

I actually bought one of these as a gift at a Christian bookstore but it was the only one they had. It may not be made out of wood but is very nice. What is interesting is that it fit both my hand and my husbands hand. I am buying more for my friends. For the price I find it to be a very great bargain and it is very inspirational.

I'm disappointed that this isn't made of real wood. I should have read the description more closely. I saw this cross last year at a Hallmark store and it was made of wood and polished. I held the one at Hallmark in my hand and it was absolutely beautifully made. I don't know what the material is this one is made out of but it seems brittle. I hope it isn't ceramic. I'm sad because this is intended for a gift and I am not sure if I will send it to the recipient or return it and continue to look for the beautiful one made of wood.

I received one of these as a gift from dear friends for my birthday. I thought it was such a thoughtful gift. I will cherish it always! I actually loved it so much I bought five myself and have given them as gifts to friends and family. I will definitely buy more & continue to give them as gifts!!! It fits perfectly in my hand and the hands of those I gave it to, including my Husband's 80+ year old Grandmother who carries it to Church with her every Sunday. Since it is made out of a resin material, it will last a lifetime and will avoid any wear and tear! I carry mine in my purse and pull it out when I need an extra lift, to get me through rush our traffic, or when I just need a little peace throughout the day. This is a wonderful cross, perfect for yourself or as a gift.

Quality is excellent - purpose and fit is perfectJul 31, 2008
I don't know how the negative reviewer could have thought this was cheaply made. It's beautiful. I have rheumatoid arthritis and my right hand is severly deformed, with many tendons ruptured. (I type with one finger on that hand) and yet the cross fit into my hand perfectly. I WAS skeptical about how it would fit in my hand until I picked it up. I was excited to see it "worked for me" too!
It also comes in a beautiful box with the poem. As someone who is the founder of a Rest Ministries, which serves the chronically ill, I can say that if there was ONE GIFT I could afford to give EVERY person we serve, I believe this would be it. It's comfortable AND comforting and the perfect way to feel the Lord's love when you don't know what to pray or are just feeling too awful to focus on reading the Word. I am grateful that the Lord inspires people like Jane to create things that bring us closer to Him, especially during the difficult times.
